I have a new Google Hub - 2nd Gen and three Nest speakers. When playing music I get significant distortion and choppy playback. The issue will start on one speaker and then make its way around to all four devices. I have fiber to my home and had a brand new router installed but the issue persists. Has anyone had a similar problem and resolved it?
thank you

I have the same issue. I have 2 Max Hubs, 2 Gen 2 Hubs, a max speaker and 4 minis. I can play music on the whole home group or just 1 individually and it’s choppy and sometimes will just freeze although.
When I play at my desk during the 8 hr workday I will usually have to restart it at least once an hour. But if I play music from my phone and just Bluetooth it to a speaker or whole one it’s fine. Very frustrating!

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I cannot get an answer from Google tech support. The speakers are essentially unusable. I am going to try one last thing, installing a Google Wi-Fi mesh network and see if that helps balance the load on the network.

Hey folks,
Thanks for sharing details about this issue here. I know it must be a frustrating experience when you're comfortable at home listening to your favorite music from your speakers but the sound is distorted or choppy. A few questions: when did the issue start? How far are the speakers from your router? Does it happen on all songs or music services? Are you having the same issue when playing music on individual devices?
Looking forward to your response.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hey folks,
Just wanted to follow up on this. Please answer the questions above so we can further isolate the issue. Also, I suggest trying to set up 2 of your devices on a different network like mobile hotspot, just to check if you will have the same issue. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home/Nest speaker and display).
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi
