Domain Permissions for Google Home Broadcast

dsteketee

Google Home says it requires permissions from a domain administrator when using the broadcast feature. There is no permission setting available to change this, and I am the domain administrator. The option to change to a non-gsuite account is not a workable solution.

Unfortunately, many Google Home app features work only if you have a gmail account.

I think you mean unfortunately. The issue is this feature used to work.

Yes; I corrected my typo.

How is this a recommended answer? This feature worked just fine for a long time .

Hi dsteketee,

Thanks for your answer. Regarding the domain permission for Google Home, this means you need to be signed in to a Google account with admin privileges for Google Home. If you're not signed in to an admin account, you'll see an error message that says "You need to have domain permission to use this feature." That's why I recommend creating a Google account to resolve this situation.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Manuel

I am the domain admin and I am signed in as that user.
