Four Nest Audio in one room

Vinz486

Hi,

I'm going to have 4 nest audio in my room.

I already know how to make 2 speakers as one stereo, but how to do with 4?

Assuming devices numbered from 1 to 4, can I have:

Config A:

stereo(1 and 2), stereo(3 and 4)

Config B:

group(stereo(1 and 2) and stereo(3 and 4))

Config C:

stereo(group(1 and 2) and group(3 and 4))

Some hints?

Thank you.

Hey Vinz486,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

You can only connect 2 Google Home or Google Nest speakers for stereo sound and an immersive experience for music and casting. If you have 2 or more speakers, you can create a speaker group instead. Check this article for more information.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Alex

Thank you.

But now I'm experiencing and issue: an already made stereo group cannot be ungrouped. When I try, nothing happens.

Hello there,

Are you referring to your speaker group or stereo pair? If it is about stereo pair, try these steps:

Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap the stereo pair.
  3. Tap Settings> Separate stereo pair > Separate.

For editing your speaker group:

  1. Tap the speaker group > Choose devices.
  2. Tap each device to add to the group. Next to each selected device, a check mark appears.
  3. Tap each device to remove from the group. The check mark disappears.
  4. Tap Next.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,
Alex

After tap on "separate stereo pair" nothing happens. A reboot is required to work.
