Gentle Wake Up not working with paired alarms

Hi there,
Since approximately 0,5-1 Year now I'm having the issue, that gentle wake up won't activate with my daily alarm. Before that issue everything was working fine.
I have found a post covering the same issue Gentle wake up not working for alarms - Google Nest Community, but turning off gentle wake up and turning it back on didn't do the trick for me. In summary I tried this:

  • "Hey Google, turn on Gentle Wake Up in <room name>."
  • "Turn on Gentle Wake Up."
  • "Turn off Gentle Wake Up." followed by "Turn on Gentle Wake Up."
  • rename room and lights
  • restarted router and nest hub
  • "OK Google, sync my devices"  and reconnected philips hue service

Hi there!

I understand how frustrating it can be when a feature like Gentle Wake Up doesn't work as expected. It sounds like you've tried a lot of troubleshooting steps already, and I appreciate your patience.

To help us narrow down the issue, could you please try the following:

If your lights are also set up in the device maker’s app (e.g., Philips Hue, LIFX), are you able to control your lights through that app? This will help us determine if the issue might be specific to Google Home or a broader connectivity problem.

Please take a look on Use Gentle Sleep and Wake with your smart lights.

  • Are you using the supported voice commands listed on the link above?

Lets try Unlink your lights from Google Home

  • Open the Home app.
  • Tap Favorites or Devices.
  • Tap and hold your device's tile > Settings > or More > Settings.
  • Tap Unlink (Home Automation Partner) > Unlink.

Then lets try Schedule and control multiple lights with Routines.

  • Open the Home app.
  •  Tap Automations > Add > choose between Household or Personal routines.
  • To create the Routine, enter a name for the Routine, then select a Starter to start the Routine.
  • To schedule a Routine, select At a specific time.
  • Tap Add action and then select Adjust Home Devices and then set up all the lights you want your Assistant to adjust and any other actions you want and then tap Add action and then Save

We're committed to providing you with a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Hope this helps!

Brandon.
