Hello JHAres,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

We're sorry to hear about this experience. I know that there's a lot to improve to our devices and we're always open about that. As Google expands, we all hope that other countries in other parts of the globe will be able to use the Google Nest speakers. As of the moment, here are the countries where Google Nest are released: https://goo.gle/35J8nGn

Let me know if you have additional questions and I'd be happy to help.

Best,

Princess

Hi Princess,

As an example.... if I use English as main language in the assistant, I can see the apps when dragging from below and the "More..." for all the apps. In spanish there is no apps, just bright and volume.

There is no technical reason for that, showing the apps icons is not something related to the language.

I can understand the "problem" with "gestures" or "sleep" because (maybe) licences by "Soli" not for some countries yet, but is not the case for missing apps icons, that is not related to the language or licensing, is just a missing feature.

Hope this will be fixed soon, the Hub is not a new product, has some time in the market, four years...!!!.

Regards..!

Javier.

(btw, i'm an IT guy, many decades in the business, just let me know if you want test or betatest something)

Hello there,

Thanks for the additional info. Some features may be available depending on its location. Could you provide a photo or a short video clip of the exact display you're getting so we can check on it further? Lastly, kindly provide the cast firmware version of your Google Nest Hub?

Check the firmware version of your speaker or display

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX".

Check the version on your Nest display

  1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings and then About device. You should find your "Cast firmware version."
    • For Nest Hub (1st gen) and Nest Hub Max: If “Fuchsia Version” is also listed, this means your device runs Fuchsia.

I look forward to your response.

Best,

Princess

Hi Princess,

Dont worry... I reinstalled using a "workaround" for the country and some features are working now, but the apps listing only works in English, is not firmware related, if I change the language, the apps list appears... 🙄

Thanks anyway, I'll be waiting this other features will be generalized in the future, hope this will be soon.

Javier. 😁
