Googl Home resumes news from days ago instead of latest news

A few days ago, I requested my Google Home device to stop playing the news, which was started as part of my morning routine.

Ever since then, when I start my morning routine, Google RESUMES the news from days ago instead of playing today's latest news.

Any way to fix this?

Hello Jill.  I tried doing those things before I posted here and none worked.

The issue wasn't just with the device, but also happened when just using Google assistant on my phone. 

The problem resolved itself.  I believe it was a problem with the news source.

Hi @dangeorges 

I would try rebooting your device and also clear the Google and Google Home apps' cache.  Let us know if that helps.
