I have happily used "Hey Google, play white noise" on my Google Home speaker for years. I recently noticed my Sonos Move has Google Assistant baked in, so I set it up there and moved my other speaker into my daughter's room. Now I notice when I ask it to play white noise, it only plays for one hour. On my Google Home, it would fade out, but then loop indefinitely until I asked it to stop.
How can I have this (much better sounding) Google Assistant do the same?

Hi jclucca,
We understand that your issue is isolated to a non-Google device. Please note that we have very limited support for third-party devices with built-in Google Assistant, like Sonos. It is best to report this to Sonos support for better assistance. If you need help with your Google Home or Nest devices, please do not hesitate to reply to this thread, and we're glad to assist you further; otherwise, I will be locking this thread in 24 hours.
Kind regards,
Dan

Hi Comeonplswork,
This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? Is it a Nest Mini or a Google Home Mini? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? Does the issue happen everyday? What commands were you giving and what is the response?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
Also, other than white noise, try these sounds and see if the issue persists:
Keep me posted.
Best,
Dan

Hi Dan,
It's a google mini. The issue is that I can see when I'm starting these relaxing sounds that it's on a 1 hr loop. After 1 hr, the white noise in particular will phase out and then back in. This wakes up my kid, so I can't use it. If it was just continuous indefinitely it would be much more convenient.

Hey there,
Do you have a Google Home Mini or a Nest Mini? Are you doing it through routines or just a basic command to play a relaxing sound? What troubleshooting steps have you done? When you say the White Noise phases out then back in again, does your Nest Mini stop the White Noise sound then play again or just fades out for a few seconds then back in again?
Could you try another relaxing sound so that we can isolate further. Check this guide so you have options.
Regards,
Dan
