Google Home App update

Ever since my Google home app updated my google home does not play anything I request on any of my linked accounts. It says it going to play it but nothing happens. Although if I ask it to go to Netflix in general it does but just shows the home screen. I have tried unlinking etc but it didn’t change. Can i install the older version again??

I don't think the update to the Google Home app would affect the way Google Nest smart speaker's respond to requests.

When Gemini takes over from Google Assistant is when everything will change. I won't see that until 2026 as I don't live in the US.

Automations have changed and some features are still missing, but you can still use the old (personal and household) automations.
