This Help article details how to make use of the “white noise” feature with google assistant.
In the last few weeks, this feature has completely stopped working on all devices with Assistant. Instead of playing the requested sounds from the list, it frequently tries to play a random playlist from Spotify.
My automations with this feature have all stopped working as well. Is there any way to regain access?

Hi nitedewshine,
Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with your Google Home device that is no longer playing white noise and is randomly playing playlists from Spotify. I understand that even your automations are not working anymore. Don't worry; help is here. I just need to ask for some information to provide the best solution:
What is the exact Google Nest Speaker or Display that you have? You can check the "Google Nest speakers and displays" article to find out.
What is the exact command that you are using for trying to play the white noise?
Have you tried any steps to solve this situation?
Have you changed any settings on the Digital Wellbeing that is in the article that you shared?
Please keep me posted.
Best regards,
Jenny

Hi Jenny,
I am trying to use this command on a Sonos One smart speaker. I have tried every command on the article I linked without success. Each prompt is met with google trying to play something from Spotify.
thanks!

Hi nitedewshine,
Thanks for your response. In this case, if after trying all the commands shown in the article above, you can try unlinking and relinking your Sonos One Smart speaker and try again to play white noise. If after completing these steps, the issue persists, I kindly suggest you contact the speaker manufacturer for further assistance.
Best regards,
Jenny
