I recently moved and my google home devices all report weather for my previous location. I changed my home address for my account and also updated each Google device to have the new address. However, all devices still give me the incorrect location info when I ask. Nothing I have found on the forums here or elsewhere have been able to help. Factory resetting the devices also did not help.

Hi Tycho42,
Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. Did you change your address in the Google Home app > Settings > Home information > Home address? If so, try to uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app, and then reboot your Google Home devices. If the issue persists, try creating a new home and moving your devices. Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Alex

The solution was to completely delete the home and create a new one, thank you

I tried that and it doesn’t work! I reinstalled the app. I factory reset the device (nest) twice. It stills shows Houston weather even though there is no Houston address in the app. There is only one home and that is in San Antonio. The room the device is located is in San Antonio. This is crazy!

Hello Kverschoor,
That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Have you tried creating a new home and then moving your Google Nest device?
Warmly,
Alex

Hi Kverschoor, I recently experienced this issue and found an interesting fix. Just make sure your "Home" address is correct, then I say to my speaker, "I'm home!" That seems to do the trick for me. Good luck.

This has been going on for years and Google has yet to actually fix the issue. It's 2024... and this started happening AGAIN on one of my hubs. It's indicating that I'm somehow now located in the next city over... which I'm not and all settings everywhere indicate the city I'm actually in for HOME. The one city over to us... has not been configured by me nor anyone in the home for any device, as it's such an odd named city to begin with and we have ZERO association with it.
Other hub... still gives the correct location info when asked. It's so moronic of an issue and fuels me that Google just can't get it right let alone have a good process in place to address issues like this. YEARS.... and no fix.
I digress. Just needed to put this out there in case anyone really wants to know what's actually going on/not going on behind the scenes for it.
