About a month ago, our SiriusXm radio would stop playing on our Google Home group after a few seconds. Tried casting from our iPhones to the group, but it wouldn't even FIND the group half the time (yes, the phone and the group are on the same bandwidth). Went into the Google Home app (3.10.103) to see what was going on, but the app wouldn't even reliably connect to the speakers, much less the group.
Rebooted all the speakers repeatedly, but no change. Then I noticed that half of the speakers had a different firmware: some of them had cast firmware 2.58.384934 and half had 2.57.375114. Went to the support page and saw that 2.57.375114 was the current version - what's up with that? So I factory reset all of the speakers and re-installed - but same issues, and half of them still had the newer firmware.
I have a mix of eight 1st gen Google Home speakers (7 of them on one group) and 3 Google Home minis (none grouped). I have them on the 5GHz band in my home wifi network, and our iPhones on the same 5GHz band. Wife just got me a Google Hub for Christmas, but I'm reluctant to take it out of the package until we get this resolved.

Also about a month ago I started seeing the same problem. The nest mini would acknowledge my command to play SiriusXM (normal response when it understands) and never play the music. If it would start the music (only sometimes) it would stop shortly there after in 1 to 3 minutes No error message is given or spoken like when you accidentally have it streaming somewhere else (that's not the problem. ) I have a similar setup as above and one of my minis has the newer firmware 2.58 but the rest are 2.57. I contacted SiriusXM and have no problems streaming thru their app. It's only a problem thru Google. Please fix. This is my most used feature thru my minis.

Spent some time on the phone with Google last night. After walking me through all the obvious troubleshooting steps (basically, factory resets of the speakers), she had one final thing to try (which I haven't tried yet because it was so late):
- Unlink the SiriusXM account in all connected Google Home App accounts
- Unininstall the app
- Reinstall the app
- Relink the SiriusXM account
She otherwise indicated it was a known issue that the engineers were working on

I talked to SiriusXM before i called Google. Sirius told me to
- Unininstall the SiriusXM app
- Reinstall the app
- Unlink the SiriusXM account in all connected Google Home App accounts
- Relink the SiriusXM account
It did not fix there problem. If order masters and helps you, please let me know.

Didn’t work. 🤷♂️ Waiting for the update, I guess.
