Google Home mini no longer strream to two chromecast audios

I have a Google Home mini,  and two Chromecast Audios. One Audio is hooked up to my home entertainment system and the other is hooked up to a stereo in my garage.

I have a SiriusXM acct and have it setup in the Home app.  I also have both Audio's setup in a speakers group in the home app.

I use to be able tell the Home mini the stream a SiriusXM channel to my speakers group, which would play on both Audios.  Now I can play on only 1 Audio at a time.

It's as if some update came and messed up the functionally of the speakers group.

Work around posted by Pandyroo on antoher threads works.  It's a PITA to have to do this each time, but it works.

THE WORK AROUND:

From the other post:

Play the radio (possibly other streams but untested) to a single device. Then go to the Home App, click on the Media orb, then select additional devices. Group Playing! This also, for the moment, works with a "group" speaker, which will auto-fill the individual devices.

Hi TMack1,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

We appreciate you sharing the workaround on this. I'll make sure to pin this post so others can also try the workaround you posted. Feel free to chime in to this thread if you want to add anything.

For others, you may always refer to this link to give you a guide on connecting your Google Nest speakers to your Chromecast devices as speaker groups.
