My google home mini is not turning on at all. It was working fine for 6+ months and was working find at night when I went to sleep and set the timer and turned off the lights with voice command. However in the morning it was non responsive and would not even power up to show lights.
Tried to unplug the power cord and wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait but lights not turned ON. Power cord is working fine with other devices, tried with another cable and charger too, same problem.
It looks like it simply died for no reason in the night. (Note: there was no power surge or loss of power overnight, and no affect to any other appliance or device connected over night).
Any suggestions on possible remedy or replacement with Google?
Thanks

The Google Home Mini has a dedicated FDR button on the bottom of the device. Look for it just below the power plug; you'll notice a simple round circle.
Press the button down for about 12-15 seconds to reset the Google Home Mini. You'll hear the Assistant confirm it is resetting the device.

Hi @LokePus , thanks for the response. I tried holding the reset button (small round circle just below where the power cord connects) for 20+ seconds, but nothing happens. I assume that for the reset to work the unit must take power, meaning the lights must show some life, but none of the lights are turning ON. It's like the unit is not drawing any power at all (even thought the charger and cable are working - confirmed). Any other thoughts?

It is unløikely, of course it can happen, but unlikely, that your device just died overnight. Try to disconnect the power plug for two minutes. Does anything happen when you reconnect power?

Yes, tried disconnecting power several times. Nothing happens when I reconnect the power. No lights, no sounds, nothing.

Hi @Dan_A , thanks for the detailed diagnostic process. I'm located in USA and bought the mini on Amazon. I tried both 1 and 2 as listed. No luck. The outlet and cable is confirmed working with other devices. No lights come on on the mini however.
