Google Home stops streaming radio

Have for a few months been listening to the radio via the smart speaker but after a few hours it stops.

I can say "OK google play Absolute Radio" or OK google play Absolute Radio on Planet radio".  The speaker will play the station but after a few hours it stops and doesn't come back on.

 

Any idea why it does it?

I know how challenging it is when you can't listen to your favorite radio station on your Google Home device. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. A few questions: Is it working on the Planet radio app? Are you able to cast it to your speaker? Is the issue isolated to a specific radio station only? Have you tried other radio services like TuneIn? What country are you located in?

 

Let's try these steps below:

  1. Move your Google Home device within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your speaker and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.

I say the the speaker "Hey Google, play Absolute Radio" or "OK Google, play Absolute Radio using Planet Radio".  I have tried listening to Greatest Hits Radio and no problems at all.  I live in England, UK.

Sorry for the delays. It looks like the issue is isolated to a specific radio station only. Have you tried reaching out to the radio provider or station to check if they are getting similar reports?
