Google Home unable to play radio station ("hm, something went wrong" error)

I listen to a local radio station daily on my Google Home, but it has issues very regularly. When it has the issue, it'll say "playing AZPM from NPR" like normal, but it'll follow it with  "sorry, something went wrong. When you're ready, give it another try".

The radio station is still live when this happens, and I'm able to stream it from my phone/online in general, I'm just unable to get it streamed on my speaker. Sometimes it lasts days, and it's super frustrating. This has also happened in multiple cities I've lived in.

I'd like to know if this is a speaker problem.

Hi Kmc00,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Sorry to hear about this. Could you tell us what radio stations are you having issues with? Is it happening only on one station, or on all stations you've tried? How about when playing music from other music providers? Lastly, what commands have you tried?

Let's try first to perform a reboot to your Google Nest speakers as well as your router, simply by unplugging it from the power source for at least a few minutes. Once done, you can try the same commands you usually use and let's see if this would make a difference.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Princess
