Google Home won’t let me choose any music app

I’ve recently switched my music app from Spotify to Apple music and i need to change it for Google Home too.

but when I go to Google Home Settings > Music, it only shows “No Default” and won’t give me any other music app option.

Tried everything for two things : 

- unlinking and rebooting so that there’s Apple music option appears. Tried many times and everything but it doesn’t show me any option to unlink Spotify

- finding iOS menu to set up a default music app — no way to do it on the current iOS as there is no “default” music app.

it’s really annoying because everytime I say “Hey Google, play music”, it only says, “Okay, playing Spotify” and then the ads start 🙃

I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing while you're trying to choose your default music provider, like Apple Music, because it is not showing you any option to select or even the option to unselect Spotify. I appreciate the information provided and the steps that you already tried. I understand how frustrating it can be when things do not work as expected. Don't worry; help is here. I just need to ask for some information to provide the best solution:

• Have you checked if you have the latest software version of the Google Home app and the software version on your phone device?
• Are you using the same email account for the Apple Music account and the Google Home app?
