Google Home won't send links to my phone

Often when asking Google Home a question, it says it's sent a link to my phone, but it never appears.  It knows my phone because if I ask it where my phone is, it rings it.

Both my phone (Android 11) and my speaker (original Google Home) are signed into the same Google account.

What notifications do you refer to?   On the phone presumably?  I can and have turned off notifications for annoying apps on my phone, but as far as I know if I haven't turned something off it will be on.  What app will be giving me the notification?

Only one person uses the speaker.  It knows my phone.  If I say "where's my phone?" it says "your Galaxy A10 should be ringing now", and the phone both rings and "Google Play Services" puts up a notification  saying "Find My Device   Ringing"

But what doesn't work is if I ask the speaker a detailed question and it wants to send a link to my phone.  It says it's done it, but nothing appears on the phone.

I turned on notifications for anything I thought might be relevant (including "google") but I can't remember what else I turned on.  Now it works, thankyou for your help.  The notification came from "google assistant", but I don't remember turning that one on, I'm sure it was already on.  Maybe something else needed to be on too?
