For further assistance, I need to ask a few questions:
- What type of device do you try to use the Voice Match on? Is it a speaker or display?
- Do you share your account with your husband?
Currently, this option isn't available. We're always looking for improvements. Please share your thoughts and experiences and submit them to the feedback form for future updates.
You can try as a suggestion to add a second account to your Google Home app and then add him as a second member with a different account. Here are the steps to invite him with a different account:
- Open the Google Home app.
- If you have more than one home, tap Favorites.
- At the top, select the home you want to edit.
- Tap the Settings icon and then Add a Home member.
- Enter the name or email address of the person you want to invite to your home.
- Tap Next.
- Review the person’s access to your home.
- Tap Send.
- The person you invite should receive an email with instructions.
After you invite him to your account. Follow the steps to add him and set up the Voice Match on your speaker or display. Here are the steps:
- Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap the account (the icon with your initial or profile picture).
- Verify the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display.
- Tap to close the account window.
- Tap Settings, then Google Assistant, then Voice Match.
- Tap the checkbox next to the devices you want to teach to recognize the voice. You can also choose to automatically add Voice Match to devices added later.
- Follow the rest of the prompts.
