Google Nest Audio Pair - Can it work like a stereo soundbar

PitcherPlant

Hi,

Once you've made a nest audio pair, can you use it as a stereo soundbar?

(IE: is there a single "stereo" bluetooth interface for the pair?)

Hey PitcherPlant,

Thanks for visiting the community.

That's a good question! You can connect your soundbar to your paired Google Nest Audio devices via Bluetooth, and it will act as a single device.  A few reminders about paired speakers:

  • All media controls (for example: play, pause, next, previous, volume control), control the speaker pair, not individual speakers.
  • Assistant settings, device settings, and sound settings apply to the speaker pair and can't be changed on individual speakers. To change individual settings, unpair the speakers using the steps below.
  • When two speakers are paired, the Assistant lives and responds on the left speaker. To use the Assistant on the right speaker, unpair the speakers.
  • Speaker pairs can be added to a speaker group. The speaker pair acts as a single device within that group.
  • The speaker pair supports casting from cast-enabled audio apps onto the speaker pair like Google Play Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, etc.

Hope this helps.
