Google Nest Audio not playing Spotify or Radio

Hi

I've noticed I've the last week that my Google Nest speakers are not launching any music apps. I've asked it to pay Spotify, Radio X, Radio 1 BBC etc. The Nest confirms (playing Spotify, etc) but then does nothing. I've tried this on various Nest Audios and none of them work. 

I am able to cast these apps from my phone, but I'd like to know the vast and solution to this issue.

We're sorry to hear about this experience. Could you tell us what country you are located in? Also, if reset is not yet done, let's perform a complete reset and set it up again. Here's how: Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays

 

Once the reset is done, make sure to use English (United States) while setting up your Google Nest Audio.

 

Let me know if these steps work.

I have 9 Google nest audios around my house and none of them were working as previously. Instructions to play Spotify, transfer music to speaker groups, or play Radio were all confirmed by Nest Audio, but without completing the instruction.

I was not prepared to factory reset all 9 devices. I appreciate that this is probably the first step in your standard troubleshooting, but it's also highly unlikely that all 9 units have developed a software fault.

Earlier this week the problem has resolved itself, and normal service has now resumed. You can therefore resolve my support ticket.

I do feel however this was an issue caused by the Google Assistant service, and that efforts should be made to see if there are any service related issues or trending issues being reported, before asking customers to reset devices.
