Google Nest Hub 2 voice match constantly fails

Google voice message settings constantly fail on and off. It works then it fails again. Everything is turned on properly. It matches my voice. Personal results is correct. This just constantly fails over and over, why?

I request Google replace this device again

To further assist you, could you please provide the following information or try these steps:

  • Could you please try a factory reset on your Google Nest Hub (2nd gen)? You can follow the steps in this helpful article: Factory reset your Google smart speaker or display.
  • Uninstall and then reinstall the Google Home app.
  • Install Google Assistant app
  • Make sure the Google Assistant app has permission to access the microphone:
    1. Go to Settings > Apps > Google > Permissions and ensure the microphone is enabled.
  • Try to Retrain Voice Model:
    1. Open the Google Assistant app.
    2. Go to Assistant settings > Hey Google & Voice Match > Voice model > Retrain voice model.
    3. Follow the prompts to retrain the model.

Thank you embarrassingly there was a hidden settings poss new that was not ticked, 😞

Is it correct that the Routine automation even won’t read out personal information unless asked? even though I have created it!

Thanks for your reply. I’m happy to hear that you resolved the issue with the hidden settings that were not ticked.

Regarding the Routine automation not reading out personal information unless asked: if you have already created a personal Routine, it should work as configured. This includes any options you have selected to read out personal information.
