Hi there,
I just bought a Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) and have got it working as a digital photo frame for my mother using my Gmail account and my Wi-fi. Looks fantastic! 🙂
She doesn't live anywhere near me and I won't be visiting her for a while but wanted to send the device to her in the mail. She is not very tech-savvy and whilst I can guide her through some basics on the device itself over the phone, I'd prefer her not have to download the Home App to connect it to her Wi-fi. Is there a way I can do this with as little friction/setup to her as possible?
Thanks in advance.
Travis

Hello TravisWhite,
Thank you for letting me know your concerns about whether you can use the Nest Hub Gen 2 without setting up on Google Home, but don’t worry, I'm here to help you.
In this case, there's no way to completely set up a Google Nest Hub without a smartphone or tablet to initially connect it to the Wi-Fi. However, I can provide you with this interactive tool to set up your device easily.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Daniel.

Thanks for getting back to me. That online wizard is very nice indeed! However it's still too technical for my mum I'm afraid. Looks like I'll just have to go and visit her, which isn't such a bad thing hey 🙂
