Google Nest Mini (2nd gen) resets itself and disconnects

Since about 6 months ago, my google nest mini has become unusable, it constantly resets itself (loudly and in french?). I've tried factory resetting the device multiple times but the product keeps persisting. At this point I can't use it because it will reset in the middle of the night and scare the living sh*t out of me.

Please can someone help me out with this? @frances I know you dealt with a similar problem

I've had the same experience (including the loud French voice in the middle of the night). In my case it was the power cord that got damaged (not visible apart from a little twist/bend at the end). Replaced it, so far so good...

Hmm a power issue could explain it, but I guess there is no way to validate this (since I don't own another nest power adapter)
