Google Nest Mini Hub stopped announcing reminders

I have a reminder set to give my cat medicine every other day at noon.  The hub has been announcing it without fail for the past few months.  All of a sudden, it stopped announcing my reminder. It doesn't even show the reminder unless I ask Google to show me my reminders. Why would it have suddenly stopped working and how can I make it start working again?

Hi BayKat,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first: 

1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Also, to use reminders on a shared Google Assistant device, like a speaker or smart display, turn on personal results and set up Voice Match.

I unplugged my router and the hub and plugged them back in and now reminders are once again being announced.  Thanks for the assistance!
