As anyone else in the world, I am experiencing the crippling issue of the Wi-Fi connection being lost on my Nest Mini. It can't be fixed unless you reset it to factory settings. After that, it takes roughly 1 to 2 days to end up in the Wi-Fi lost issue, and the cycle starts all over again. No, it's not a problem of my Wi-Fi. Everything works amazingly if placed in the same spot of the Nest Mini, even a Nest Audio!
I will save you some time as well with the technical infos about the device:
- system firmware: 495998
- google cast firmware: 3.76.495998
My only question is, is it an hardware issue that will not be solved by any future firmware release? If not, can we expect to have a firmware release, sooner or later? Google needs to put out a clear statement about this, it is going on for 2 years or more...If it's an unsolvable hardware issue, I am expecting Google to replace my Nest Mini with a working one.

The System Firmware version of my Google Home Mini is 500695. Is your speaker a Home Mini or Nest Mini?
Considering that the Nest Audio cost more to buy than a Mini you could assume that the Audio might have a better Wi-Fi antenna system.
Instead of doing a Factory Reset I would think just turning it off for a couple of minutes or Rebooting the speaker via the Google Home app would be sufficient.

My device is a Nest Mini. It is not a problem of WiFi signal reception or antenna. How can a reset of the Mini solve that? There is clearly something going on within the firmware or the hardware of the device, which after 1 or 2 days of rock-solid connection goes into a loop where Wi-Fi is dead and there is no way to recover unless you reset the device. To me, it is quite clear what is going on. Unfortunately, Google does not want to admit this problem, probably because there is no firmware fix?

Hi fedejh,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I understand that your Google Nest Mini (2nd gen) disconnects from your Wi-Fi network after a short period, typically 1 to 2 days, forcing you to perform a full factory reset to temporarily restore service. I appreciate you confirming that this is not a network issue on your end, as other smart devices, including a Nest Audio, function perfectly in the same location, and your inquiries to get a permanent solution. Don’t worry; help is here.
