Google Nest Mini unable to create a speaker group

Right, I've been trying hopelessly to create a speaker group with my nest mini. The app added the nest hub 2nd gen no problem but with the nest mini, no such luck. Even if I try to do only the nest mini, again, no luck. If I add just the nest mini "Your group could not be created". If I create a group with the both devices, it adds the hub, not the mini and says again "Your group could not be created". And then the group exists with just the hub. If I try to add to this existing group the mini, it says "There was a problem communicating with Google. Please" and I can't read the rest, it never shows me anything more. I tried factory reset of the mini, rebooting the modem/router, clearing cache of the home app and google play services app, I tried unistalling and reinstalling the home app. Nothing works. Any advice?

Thanks for reaching and sorry for the trouble this has caused you — let's figure this out.

A few questions: is it the first time you're creating a speaker group with your Google Nest Mini? Also, is it still working on individually?

Try these steps:

• Create a new home structure and move your devices there. Once done, you can delete your old home. 
• Try to use a different phone to see if it will work.

Well... This is the first time I am trying to create a speaker group with this nest mini. If I ask my nest hub to play something on the nest mini, it says the video devices are offline. But when I go to spotify and change the speaker to the nest mini, it works fine. Also if I ask the nest mini directly, it plays everything fine.

I tried to create a new home and I moved EVERYTHING, I've done that on a different phone. Did not help, still unable to create the group.

Hi, sorry, I've been busy.

Anyway, firmware version is 1.54.279716.

I filled the form out. I am still unable to create the group. Now the nest mini appears offline in the home app, but it works fine, if I ask it to play music... it does it normally... I have no idea what's going on anymore...
