Google Nest not playing radio stations in IRELAND

I see several similar posts on this issue in these threads and NONE have a satisfactory answer from Google.

This should be straightforward, but it isn't and Googles workaround is toast for the Frequency instead of fixing the issue.

Shouldve bought an Alexa

Hi lxreilly

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I understand how frustrating it is when your Google Nest device isn't playing radio stations in Ireland, especially when you've found others experiencing a similar situation and haven't been able to find a solution. It sounds like you've been dealing with this for a while, and I want to assure you that we're here to help.

To assist you better and troubleshoot this effectively, please provide some more information by answering the following questions:

  • When did this inconvenience start?
  • Are you trying to play specific Irish radio stations? If so, could you please list which ones?
  • Are you receiving any specific error messages from your Google Nest device, such as "this station is not available in your country" or "it either isn't available or can't be played right now"?
  • Have you already tried any troubleshooting steps?
  • What is the model and generation of your Google Nest device? You can find help identifying your device in this Google Help Center article: Google Nest and Home device specifications.
  • Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app? If not, you can learn how to update it here: How to update the Google Home app.
  • How far are your Google Nest devices located from your WiFi router?
  • What is the Google Nest device’s current firmware version? This Google Help Center article can help you find it: Find your device’s firmware version.
  • Have there been any recent changes to your home environment, your WiFi network, or any recent outages?
  • Have you set your time zone and location correctly in your Google Home app? You can use this Google Help Center article as a reference: Change your home and work locations in the Google Home app.

Please keep me posted with these details so we can investigate further.

Best regards,

Virna
