Short version:
I deleted a group of speakers, but the Google Nest still tries to play to the group when I give voice commands - fails when streaming radio and news. Other stuff like timers work.
Longer version
I used to have a group called "Kjøkken gruppe" (Kitchen group in Norwegian), consisting of two Nest Audio devices. Both running latest firmware. I deleted the group and re-paird them as a stereo speaker system. That is when my troubles started.
But general google assistant things like telling time, count down, weather report etc work just fine. When I try to stream radio the device accepts the command and starts by "Playing radio P4 on Kjøkken gruppe". And as I stated in the first centens - that group has been deleted.
Things I have tried without success
I'm fairly confident that something went wrong when I deleted the group, and it remains somewhere in Googles storage of my home. But it is not visible within the app so I can't delete it myself. Hopefully some Google employee reads this and can help clean up the crud.

Update: I also have deleted the home and re-created it. Still the same issue.
After a lengthy chat with a pleasant customer service rep we found the issue. The devices needed to be properly factory reset. Doing a "reset" from the app is not a full cleaning of setting. In order to do a reset you have to switch the mic button to "off", then hold down the middle "invisible" button on top of the device for ############ seconds until you get an audio response that it will be reset, then resetting.
This solved my issue.
