My wife and I have been using our Google Home Minis to playing white noise for our son for years now. We usually start it with "Hey Google, play Babbling Brook" and then stop it with "Hey Google, stop" or "Hey Google, stop playing babbling brook on X" if we use a different speaker. Lately our smart speakers have been ignoring us when we ask them to stop, they just keep on playing. The other day my wife couldn't stop it after a nap, so I tried from our Nest Hub. It responded saying it would stop it, but the other speaker continued to play. I took out my phone and hit the pause button for it, and it stopped immediately.
What is going on with our speakers? Why do they seem to be getting worse? I also have noticed they get a lot more false positives lately, starting to talk randomly when they weren't asked.
This is extremely frustrating... We have 5 minis, a max, a hub, 3 cameras, a doorbell, a lock, and 3 smoke detectors, but I'm ready to just give up and start looking for a different smart system.
