Google assistant can’t play Apple Music on my Bose 300 home speakers

I have 2 Bose 300 home speakers connected to google assistant. I have an Apple Music subscription that is linked as default music. I ask to play a song and Google assistant says that it is playing yet no sound comes out. Speakers are on and volume is up. Is their a way to play Apple Music on them other than Bluetooth?

Hey folks,

Thanks for reaching out, and my apologies for the late response. I know how it feels when you're having issues with your speakers. To confirm, do you have a Google Home/Nest device? Did you set up your Bose speaker to an app then link your account on the Google Home app? Is it a cast-enabled device?

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi

The only way I found it worked… was I used a Google nest hub to start playing music (worked with voice command) and then synced them . The Bose equipment doesn’t seem to work when you tell it to play something.

I have a google nedt hub and have linked the speakers to the Bose app and google, it says it’s playing music from Apple Music and from xm. But nothing ever comes out the speakers. I have 2 Bose home 300 speakers that only play Apple Music when using Bluetooth.

So I’ll that has worked for me … I tell the Google nest hub to play a song . It will play through the Google hub. Then I used the app to on the hub to select the speaker and it worked. But one of them was lagging

Hey folks,

My apologies for the delays. To confirm, are you having issues controlling your Bose speakers from the native app? Does the same thing happen when you use the Google Assistant app on your phone?
