Hi IB800,

Thanks for posting.

For confirmation, you wanted to link your Nest Hub to your TV to make it as an output speaker, correct? It is possible if your TV has a Bluetooth function that way, you can connect both of them via Bluetooth and from there, whenever you watch a movie from your TV, the sound goes out to your Nest Hub however, these functions may or may not work depending on the Bluetooth version of your TV or if the TV itself can apply that feature to their system.

One other way is to link your TV to the Google Home app. This is possible if you have a Chromecast connected to your TV or a built-in Chromecast. Follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast, or speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. At the top left, tap Add > Set up device > New device.
  4. Tap the home you want to add the device to > Next.
  5. Tap the device you want to set up > Next.
  6. Make sure that the code shown on the TV matches the code shown on your mobile device.
  7. To send anonymous data that helps us improve devices, tap Yes, I'm in. To opt out, tap No thanks.
  8. Tap the room where you're setting up your device > Next.
  9. Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect your device to > Next.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. To choose whether to receive emails about your device, tap Sign up or No thanks.
  12. Choose which video services you want to add > Next.
  13. Tap Continue > Continue.

Note: If you get an "Error when linking device" error message, you must factory reset your Chromecast device. Afterwards, you can pick a preferred TV or speaker for video and audio playback.

Best,

Dan

Hey there,

I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?
