I have a google home max speaker. The speaker has stopped working, the light near the reset button Is still switched on but other than that there is no response from it I.e. the volume buttons don’t work. I’ve tried unplugging and restarting it… the lights on the front come on as if they are looking to connect to the WiFi but then nothing (WiFi is working for all other devices and hasn’t been touched - I’ve restarted the router just in case). I’ve not tried a factory reset (by holding the button down on the back for over 12 seconds). The status light on the back flashes but then nothing seems to happen. The google Home app just says disconnected device…
anyone got any ideas???
Thank you.

I am having the same problem with my Google Home Max speaker. I have tried the unplug/plug-in approach described above and the factory reset approach, but still I have a non-responsive speaker. I am typically happy with all of my Google products, but the lack of support and ability to have repaired is disappointing.

Hi BrianPMc,
We want to make sure we cover all our basis, have you tried connecting it to a mobile hotspot for isolation?
Thanks,
Alex

I have not. How can I do that if the speaker is not responsive? It won’t prompt the user to set up. Thank you.

New to the convo but some issue here. Home Max will not power up. Did the 10 for 10 seconds and nothing. Any suggestions?

Hi folks,
@BrianPMc, thanks — we got your form and we've escalated it over to our higher level of support for further review. Please keep an eye on your inbox as someone will get back in touch with you soon.
@GEO4UNC, sorry to hear about this. Are there any indication that it is powered on? Do you see any lights on the screen? Let's also try to plug it in on a different power outlet so we can further isolate the issue. Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Princess

No signs at all that it is powering on. No lights or indicators or sounds. We’ve plugged it into four outlets all of which we know work with no success to have the max power on. We’ve even done the unplug for 10 seconds 10 times trick on three outlets, and still nothing.

Have you tried a new power cord?

Just an update for those of you still trying to get yours working. Even if you fill out the form if you are outside the manufacturers warranty they can not help you. Hope this helps.
