Hi all,
I’ve had this problem on and off for a over a year now where I ask a Google Home Speaker to play music, and it announces that it will play that music on another speaker. The obvious workaround is to end every single music request with “play on this speaker” but even that doesn’t always work! It’s very frustrating. I don’t see any setting in the Google Home app to require the speaker to play the requested audio on itself unless specifically requested on another. Any support for this?
thanks

Hi Vmore13,
This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? Were there any recent changes made? What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
Next is to make the command device specific. Ensure that you say the name of the device or the room when asking to play music and see what happens.
Also, try to change the device names. Click this link on how to.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Dan
