Google nest hub 2 display turns on randomly at night

Since some days mx Google nest hub 2 display turns on randomly at night around 3 am. Motion and sleep sensor is switched off. I tried everything. I turned off display at the evening. But in the night it turns on by itself.

Same problem is described here but Thrad is closed without any solution:

Hello folks,

I appreciate everyone's patience and for keeping this thread active.

Some users have confirmed that this is already fixed as new software was released a few days ago. Kindly check your device's cast firmware version if it's on its latest version to make sure that everything is all working on the new update. Here's the current firmware version of all Google Nest speakers:

Feel free to chime in anytime if you have additional questions.

Best,

Princess

Mine just started doing it this week. Luckily it is not in my bedroom, but I have a lamp next to my bed that also gets turned on and wakes me up. Very annoying. I can manually turn the light off so that it doesn't come on but the display is coming on in the living room with the speaker blasting. I would assume after 3 months, there must be an easy fix although I don't see one.

My Nest hub's display turned on by itself around 3h25 AM last two nights, and woke me up. Come on Google Team, add some regression tests in your QA process, thats unbearable......

I was able to get my Nest Hub to stay dark all night.  With the following procedure.     1. Turn on Preview Program  2. Reboot  3. Unplug Nest for a few minutes

What version does your nest hub has now since it's in preview program?

This issue is on the list already for so long.

No help, no fix.

My display turns on every night, and never turns off again, until i interact with it.

i tried all the settings. NO help nothing.

at this point i am even thinking about switching to another solution, and ditch google.

I have to say to mine "hey google screen off". It's so frustrating!

Same problem here. My version is 14.20230831.4.72 (same as above). I keep my Nest Hub Gen 2 next to the bed for sleep tracking. I have it set to turn the screen completely off at night (which it correctly does when I turn the lights off). But during the night the display randomly flashes. Last night I also noticed it showing a very dim picture at one point, which turned off by itself (as others reported).

This is apparently designed to be a "sleep prevention" device. And, since people have been posting about the same problem here for nearly 6 months and 2 major firmware versions it does not appear to be on a trajectory to be fixed.

I have complete blackout blinds with rails, so I don't think it's picking up on any light from outside and thinking it's daytime. I have no light sources in the room except a ceiling clock that's nowhere near the display.
