I’ve been trying to get sleep sensing up on my nest hub I’ve set it up on the app but nothing happens I click recalibrate and I tells me to set it up on the Google home app but it already is then i recalibrate in the app but it then tells me to go to the settings panel on the nest hub! I’ve tried resting it but nothing works I’m based in the uk where sleep sensing is available so i don’t see why it is not showing up in the settings

Hi folks,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue. I know how challenging it is when some of the features on your Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) are not working. Our team is aware of this and looking into this issue at hand. I'll make sure to update the thread as soon as I have more information to share

Please tell us the firmware version of your device and the Google Home app on your phone. Also, make sure to send feedback on your Nest Hub (2nd gen) by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback," followed by the keywords: GHT3 Sleep Sensing option missing on the display tray settings. These will help the team further check what's going on with your devices. Visit this link to know more about sending feedback.

Best,

Dan

I had the same issue (in the US). My solution is most likely for those adding another (or replacing an existing) Home Hub 2nd Gen.  After going through all the basics uninstalls and reinstalls of everything, This worked for me:

From the Google Home App:

1. Go to settings

2. Go to  Google Assistant

3. Go To manage all Assistant settings

4. Go to Wellness (or in search settings - typically at the top of page, type in "Wellness" or " Sleep." Both will take you to Wellness)

5. Go to Sleep

a. If you can get it to work from here, great (another user posted that they could, I could not).

b. Disconnect Google Fit  (and/or Fitbit).  You do not want either connected. This made everything work for me!

I wish anyone reading this luck.

PS After activating Sleep Sensing (and finally getting it to work), adding back Google Fit (or Fitbit) is not an issue.

Hello everyone,

Checking back to hear from you about the setup concern where the Sleep Sensing option is not available. How is it? Can you configure your Nest devices? If not yet then make sure the Google Home app on your phone is up-to-date. Go to Playstore or App Store to do the update.

Also, if the issue persists, you can do a factory reset to restore your Nest devices to their default and original settings. Here’s how:

  1. On the back of the Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds.
  2. Your Nest Hub will let you know it's resetting.
  3. Proceed with the setup.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Dan
