Both of my devices nest mini and nest audio can get into a state where they can't stop playing music. If I say okay Google stop music, the volume goes down as it should it thinks for a bit but then doesn't stop the music and the volume goes back up. I can adjust the volume on the top but pressing the middle does nothing. I can adjust the volume with voice too. Also even in the home app adjust volume skip songs etc work, bit clicking the do button does nothing. I have a video I could post it's ridiculous can only unplug to stop. Again both devices can get into this state, there nest audio is two weeks old. It's only happening since I've got both devices.

Other customers have reported this as well. The long locked thread below reports many instances, with many (but not all) using Tunein:

I do not use tunein. There's two issues in that thread. It's ignoring the word stop (but not like any other commands). Most people are reporting it stopping and then starting again. I don't see any solutions posted.

In searching again, I found several other threads where a Nest speaker would resume playing music after being asked to stop, with various suggestions from Google Nest Support, but no solution.

2nd gen and nest audio (happens on both)
Also can't stop from home app on Android, skip and volume does work however.
Physical middle button doesn't stop but volume buttons work, both devices.
Unplugging plugging fixes.
happens two or three times a week.

Hi @Robbg
Thanks for your reply.
To assist you better, can you confirm:
I also suggest you perform a factory reset of the device to see if that helps resolve the music-stopping issue with your Nest speakers, since you have already tried some steps and that only resolves the issue temporarily.
Please let me know if you have any questions from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.
Cheers,
Jonathan
