Google nest mini as surround sound speaker

Am I able to Chromecast Disney on my basic tv and connect my google nest mini as an external/surround sound speaker?

should able to, just put both of the speaker in a group inside the google home app and paly something while castings  then find your device you should able to make both speaker play that same thing with one button

Thank you for your response. I've tried that but only the audio seems to play on the tv.

Hey there Vega18,

jae is correct that you can add the Google Nest Mini as a speaker in a Speaker Group, however, as you have experienced, this is only for audio. Currently, there isn't a way to add the Google Nest Mini as a speaker for the Chromecast as a soundbar. If this is something you'd like to see in the future, I'd recommend submitting feedback via Google TV.
