Google nest speaker won't turn on

Hi, my google home speaker has no power despite being plugged into an outlet, I can't turn it on, I can't reboot or factory reset it, it is essentially and brick at this point.

Hey Harry3,

 

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. I know the feeling of not having a working device when needed.

 

A few questions:

 

  • When did the issue start?
  • Is the official power adapter that came with the speaker used on the device?
  • Are other devices able to receive power from the same outlet?
  • Was there any type of electrical outage around the time the issue began?
  • When and where did you purchase your device?

Hi muddi, that ks for responding to my issue,

The issue started one or two days before I made the original post,

I am using the initial power adaptor that came with the device, 

I have no other devices that are compatible with said power adaptor so I cannot test that issue,

There was no power outage at the time,

It was bought as a Christmas present so I do not have the receipt to return it
