Google nest won’t stay connected to wifi

Huskie

My Google nest used to work fine. For the past month, however, it disconnects from Wi-Fi. When I reboot the router, the nest will reconnect briefly, and then disconnect again. I brought over a friend’s Nest, which works fine in her house, and it did not work in mine. Does anybody have any suggestions about this? Wi-Fi works fine for everything else in the house. Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. However, I do not have a thermostat, but just the speaker. And it does not reconnect at all until I unplug the router and replug it. Then it works once, and then disconnects again. As for interference, nothing has changed in my house, to my knowledge, since this problem began. And I do not know how to check for ping speed, but all other Wi-Fi dependent devices still work fine. Thanks again, though, for your reply.

I have been experiencing this over the last month too with 2 out of my 5 google home products including a Max and Hub stopped connecting to wifi. I literally brought them right next to the router and they won't connect. Similar to the post-er, when if first started i would restart my modem and they would connect briefly before disconnecting from wifi again

Same here. One of my hubs has started doing this in the past month. I have around a dozen hubs, minis and audios throughout the house. This is one of the closest to the router and its the only one that does this.

Signal is fine - there is a laptop and a smart plug right next to the hub and they work perfectly. Router is a Nest mesh product too so no dodging the blame here!!

Have tried all the generic suggestions above. Nothing has changed.

As I've already said. I tried all the generic responses including rebooting and factory resetting the hub. The wifi signal is fine - it connects well to the 2 other devices in the same room less then 1 metre away with no drops ever. It has nothing to do with my ISP - this is a wifi connection not broadband issue. What on earth does AI marketing have to do with anything?

Seeing as nobody has any sensible suggestions I'll be returning the product.

Does nobody read before they respond? It's nothing to do with my ISP or internet connection. The router is fine. It is a problem with a single Hub.

The Hub was returned to the retailer and a new one is working fine.
