Google speaker display not connecting to wifi

I don’t even know if this is the right name for the device. This is so frustrating. I have 2 Google speaker devices that typically play music. For some reason they are the only devices in my home that “can’t connect to wifi” there’s a 4 digit code on the screen. I’ve restarted my wifi router, plugged and unplugged. I can’t figure out how to reconnect to wifi. Please help!!

Did you by any chance update your Wi-Fi network? If so, you'll need to do a factory reset (to clear out the old Wi-Fi settings) and then reinstall your devices.

These are the factory reset instructions:

Hi DracoSolon,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your two Google speakers are not connecting to Wi-Fi, and I'm happy to assist you! Before I can help, I need to ask a few questions to better understand the situation.

  • Did a 4-digit code appear when you tried to set them up?
  • Have you recently made any changes to your Wi-Fi settings?
  • Can you see your two Google speakers in the Google Home app, and does it say "Offline" for both?

I'll be awaiting your response.

Regards,
Manuel
