We have 4 speakers, 2x Google Home Minis and 2x Google Nest Minis and a Youtube Music (YTM) Premium family account. I just cannot get Google Assistant to let my kids play their own playlists, it's driving me bonkers!
If I say "Play the playlist "Kid's name"", it plays their playlist. If my kid asks the exact same thing using the exact same words, it doesn't work!
They have the correct permissions on Google Family Link, one is under 13 and one is over 13, same result in either case, it just doesn't work.
Can anyone explain this to me??

Hi DHeraud,
Thanks for reaching out and for providing detailed information on your issue — these are of great help!
Children under 13 can’t play songs from YouTube Music but, there are a lot of other things that your kids can do. Children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country) can take many of the same actions as adults, like:
Check this link for more details.
On the other hand, children over 13 years old can do so, but they need to link their own account and play music using their own YouTube music account. Check the instructions below to add a home member.
The person you invite should receive an email with instructions.
Note: If the person you want to invite has already requested to join your home, you need to accept that request instead of sending a new invitation.
Check this link for more information.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Juni
