Group Delay Correction - Bluetooth Speaker

RG415

I have the following setup:

- 1 Nest Audio speaker (speaker 1) with itself as the default speaker

- 1 Nest Audio speaker (speaker 2) with a paired Bluetooth speaker as its primary speaker.
- 1 speaker group with both speakers 1 & 2

When I play music on the speaker group, the music comes out of the Bluetooth speaker (speaker 2) first by a noticeable fraction of a second. If I adjust the “group delay correction” on speaker 2, it makes the delay longer. When I adjust the same setting on speaker 1, it has no effect. I can set it all the way to 200ms and the delay is the same.

I’ve tried this same setup with no speaker group (just selecting both speakers 1 & 2 at the same time to play music). The result is the same - BT speaker 2 plays first, adjusting delay on speaker 2 makes delay worse, adjusting on speaker 2 has no effect).  Note that if I pair the speakers as stereo speakers (with no paired BT speaker), everything works fine and the speakers play in sync.

In another thread, I saw the recommendation to fix this was to recreate the speaker group. I did this and nothing changed. Please help.   Here’s the other thread:

We hope you were able to get the help you need. If you still need assistance with your Google Nest devices, feel free to submit another post and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand.
