Hang on while I get connected to Wifi

Hello.

I am having serious issues with my Nest Audio speakers.
They randomly respond "Hang on while I get connect to WiFi".

It happens several times every week that one or two of them has to be rebooted.
The only way making the respond to voice commands is to reboot them.
A funny thing is, if they are playing music, the speakers respond "Hang on while I get connect to WiFi" when I adress them, but they continue to play music. As they are playing music, they are definately connected to WiFi!

I have 6 Nest Audio speakers and one Nest Hub 2nd Gen.
No problem with the Nest Hub.
I have experienced the problem since I bought my Nest Audio speakers more than 1 year ago.

WiFi-setup: Asus AI-mesh with two AP:s in a 75 sqm house.
Connection with each Nest Audio quality is excellent.

I have tried the following remidiations:

1. New WiFi hardware - replaced TP-link with Asus.

2. New SSID and re-installed all speakers.

3. Swithed off WiFi 6.

The Nest Audio speakers are currently more or less useless as I can not rely on their function.
The Nest hub has never been a problem, but it is running a different OS, Fuchsia.

Anyone here to help me out?

Cheers,

/Viktor

Hi Viktor,

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s further look into this. Try to change the DNS server on your router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. If iPV6 is on, turn it off in the meantime. Then, reboot the router for 2 minutes, > Reboot your Google Nest Audio devices > Monitor.

Hi Alex,

I changed DNS 2 weeks ago but the problem persists. 3 out of 5 Nest Audio didn't work properly when I got home from work. Google Assistant said "Hang on until I connect to WiFi".

Casting to them works though, so they are connected to WiFi, but Google Assistant seems to be unaware of that;)

My Nest hub does not have this problem.

The situation is frustrating, help is really needed.

Cheers,

/Viktor
