Having Trouble linking Sirius XM account

Hello!

We are having trouble connecting our Sirius XM account.  

What we do:

In Google Home App (android) we Click Radio Service. 

Sirius XM is an option as we are logged into Sirius XM on the app on the same phone. I tap Sirius XM and confirm I wish to "Link your SiriusXM account". I confirm "I already have a SiriusXM account." I select that the SiriusXM account is using a different email than my google email. I "Agree and Continue" to the apps permissions and data Google will be able to access. 

From here, it briefly opens up a browser for sirius xm website, then defaults to the app.  And then the process stops.  The connection isn't made. 

We *can* open Sirius on our phone and broadcast to the speakers. We cannot say "Hey Google, play Classic Vinyl on Sirius" or it tells us "You don't have a SiriusXM account. Would you like one?" prompt.

What we have done to try to resolve this: 

We have unplugged our Google Home for 5 minutes. We have restarted our router. We have uninstalled both Sirius XM and Google Home at the same time, reinstalled both, logged into both, and had the same challenge as above.

I apologize if this has been answered already; I did look through a search of "Sirius" and found a lot of issues, but not this specifically.  Thank you!!

HA! I got it!!

After typing that out and re-reading it, I fixated on the " it briefly opens up a browser for sirius xm website, then defaults to the app"

So I uninstalled *only* the SiriusXM app. Then tried reconnecting the accounts. Followed the steps above, let it open in a browser, logged into SiriusXM in the browser, and it connected!

 I apologize if anyone is currently typing up a potential solution, but will leave the post in case it helps anyone else.
