Hidden routines

Esdece

4 of my routines in google home have disappeared but are still active.
I’d like to change them but can’t see them.
they run Aquara roller blinds, so I tried unlink the Aquara account, re-linking and setting one up again from scratch. The new one works ok, but the 4 old ones are still running, even though they aren’t visible.
ive deleted google home & assistant app of my phone and reinstalled, and still no luck.
I assume the routines are stored on the cloud and running from there?

anyway to delete them?

thanks

Hi Esdece,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? What country are you in?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers, then your other smart devices.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

If the issue persists, kindly change the region and language to US-English on your phone's settings and tell me how it goes.

Best,

Dan

Hi Dan,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
The issue isn't actually with a Speaker or Display as such, but as I couldn't find a section to put a "Works with Google" device under, & the routine does a custom "say" type command, I used this category.

I am based in the UK, and use English UK language. The issue started on the 4th March, after i created the routines for 2 new Aqara Roller shade E1 devices.
A routine was set up to open and close each one, at Sunrise & Sunset respectively.
I now want to change the open times, but the routines no longer appear in Google Home or Google Assistant apps on my iPhone, or via a windows PC.
However, the routines are still running,

I went into the "Works with Google" section, and deleted the Aqara Service, thinking this might cause Google Routine to fail, but they still run, even though the devices are no longer listed in my Home..

At the moment I am not in a position to power down my Router and 90+ smart devices, and I have had a suggestion to delete the home from Google Home, uninstall the app, and start again from scratch.
This seems a drastic and very time consuming measure for what should be a simple solution to be able to see and delete routines.
thanks,
Sean

Hi Dan,

I have done a full sequential reboot for 5 mins as suggested.
rebooted my iPhone, change language and regions and even uninstalled google home & google assistant but no change.

the routines still don’t show and run, even after remove the Aqara service for 48hours.

I don’t understand how these google routines can still run my Aqara roller blinds if everything has been restarted.

The only option I can see now is to move all the smart devices to a new home and delete the existing one?

any other suggestions?

So I moved the two Aqara roller blinds to a new home and ensured they were deleted from the existing home.

That evening, neither blind closed at Sunset, so I thought success at last & I closed them via the Aqara app.

the following morning, the google home routine ran at 5:20am and rudely awoke me by opening the bedroom blind, even though there are no routines in the new home.

in the evening it closed the bedroom blind, but the frontroom blind wasn’t changed.
now 2 days later, they are both opening and closing at sunrise & sunset, by the google home routine.

surely there must be some way to look at the cloud data for my google account and delete these two “ghost” routines from a database table?

if this isn’t possible, how can I claim a refund from google for the two devices that google routines control without my permission, as I will have to buy two replacements and scrap these ones?
