Hide navigation bar

Since my Nest Hub (2nd Gen) received the Fuchsia update a few days ago the nav bars on top and on the right side of the screen are always showing, even when full sceen clock or photo frame is active. It looks very ugly. Is there any way to hide it? My other Nest Hub (also 2nd Gen) which hasn't received the update yet just fades the nav bars in as long as I am close to the device.
