Home can't add items to shopping list in keep

For a few weeks now google assistant on my Nest mini can't add items to my shopping list in Google keep. When asked to add something it says a list with that name does not exist and if I would like to create one. However it is able to read the items on the shopping list to me when asked to.

I have the same problem. Goolge nest says that the list doesn't exist (but there is of course).

Even when google nest asks to created this list, it creates it. But than when I ask to put somthing into the list just created by Google Nest, it says again that this list doesn't exist.

Wow Google! Instead to fix problem you can create new problem! Impressive...

Hi HenrikK,

Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should. A few questions: were there any recent changes made before it started? Are you getting the same response when you use your phone’s Google Assistant? Also, what steps have you taken so far?

Let’s try to refresh your devices and observe if it makes a difference. First, reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing to your Google Nest Mini.

Regards,

Juni

Hi Juni, the fact is that couple of weeks ago worked well...Of course I didn't change nothing on google nest. Rebootted everything, reset everything.

The funny things is that on google nest hub it works, on google nest not. So the problem is the firmware update don't tell me the story is my WIFI...Google nest can have access to keep because it can created the new list, but then it forgets it...Please call IT firmware developer and ask if they can work a little bit better...maybe they have to restart their WIFI...

@Flo_mol: Sorry to hear that you have the same issue. Could you tell us the steps that you've tried?

Sorry, I am not sure when the latest posts were published but as of today (02 Nov 2023) I have problems with the shopping list and none of the abovementioned solutions worked. My phone's Google home app as well as Google Keep are updated. The vocal assistent can't find the shopping list, yet it is there and I can access it manually. Before you ask, voice recognition is fine.

Hi ASF67,

Thanks for posting, and I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you. Let me help you out. What Nest speaker or display do you own? Try the factory reset; this erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to learn more about it.

Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays
