How do I move to the next action in my routine?

I have a home routine set up to talk to another website that reads or plays music, but I don't know what to say to Google to get it to go to the next action on the routine. The best I can get is confusing it enough to say 'sorry, I don't understand' before going to the next task. I've tried 'stop' or ' next task' or 'goodbye' which worked for awhile and then started thinking that was a different routine altogether.

Hello Ashlyn Dingman,

Thank you for your post! I am sorry to hear that your Google device is getting confused during routines. That is a very pesky issue and I understand your concern. I would be more than happy to help. First, I have some quick questions.

  • Which Google device is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
  • Is this a new issue? Were your routines working before?
  • Do you have examples of which routine actions you set? What happens when it does not work?
  • Which routines cause this issue to occur?
  • Does this issue still occur if you make a new routine?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If so, what have you attempted so far?

Thank you for your patience, I look forward to your response!
