How many Nest Audio's on 1 "group"

I'm trying to set up a surround sound type of system with my TV. Will set audio to bluetooth on the Optical out of the TV and then pair 3 Nest Audios in 1 group. Will this work for me????

I currently have 2 mini's that work just great throughout my house, just looking to expand the google herd

I have two Nest Audio speakers (paired) on each side of the living room and two minis in other rooms all in one group. I connect to the group from Pandora and other apps and when it works, it's great. I do have problems getting the casting to work, but that's another issue.

I am confused. The Google Nest store says that Nest Audio speakers can be used as surrounds directly connected to a Google TV or Chromecast. No sound bar or AVR needed. But no one is able to make this work. Should I hold off on buying new TV and Google speakers until Google posts exactly how to use Nest Audio speakers as directly connected surrounds?

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out. You can’t use Nest speakers and display as an audio output for your TV with Chromecast. Our team is working hard to deliver the best experience for our users — we'll take this as feedback. Keep your eye on the Google Nest Community page for any updates.

Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this in 24 hours if I won't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

Check out this link on how to file feedback.

Thanks,

Juni
