How play YouTube playlist

We set up a YouTube playlist on the android galaxy s7, and when we said, “hey Google, play dad playlist “, the nest mini says we need a premium subscription for that. It was my understanding that we could just play YouTube playlists on the nest mini without a subscription. Both are logged in with the same Google accounts. YouTube is set as the default music thing on the Google home. This is with nest mini 2nd generation.

You can play content on demand once you have a premium YouTube subscription. You can hear specific songs, albums, and/or artists along with music based on genre, mood, activity, or YouTube Music's curated playlists.

Also, in addition to basic voice commands, you can use advanced commands as long as enrolled to a premium subscription.
